Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Arguably the most romantic day of the year, there are so many ways to show your Valentine how much you care about them, and they don’t all have to be expensive.

Hand written card
Sometimes the simplest gifts are the most heartfelt. Try writing your own card, with your own words that come from the heart.

Love notes
Leave your other half cute little love notes around the house.

Favourite restaurant
Take your loved one to their favourite restaurant for a romantic dinner. You could build on this further by giving them a gift during dinner, or arranging for a special dessert to be served, or for their favourite song to be played for them.

Living gift
If you give your partner a miniature rose plant, you can plant it together and have a living symbol of your love for each other.

Go on an adventure together, with a romantic twist, such as ballooning with a picnic and champagne.

Guys if you like to keep things simple, you can’t go wrong with lingerie, chocolates or flowers.

Personal vouchers
Give your partner a book of vouchers they can use over the next 12 months, until the next Valentine’s Day. Who wouldn’t love having a foot massage, a week off doing the dishes, a car wash, or having a sleep in without having to get up to the babies/children!

Cooking class
If you both love cooking, go to a cooking class together.

Whatever you decide to do for your loved one on Valentines Day, try and find something you can enjoy together.
